Membership

Community LetterWe often get asked, “What is a credit union, anyway?”

Generally, a credit union exists to serve a specific group of people, such as a group of employees or residents in a certain geographical area. Credit unions typically offer better rates on loans and higher dividends on savings products.

The field of membership for Lincoln Park Community Credit Union is:

A) Individuals that live or work within the city of Lincoln Park; employees of the city of Allen Park, Allen Park schools or the Allen Park Post Office, Allen Park, Michigan; employees of the city of Melvindale, Michigan; elected officials and employees of District Court #24 (Allen Park and Melvindale); persons on pensions arising from such employment.

B) Members and immediate families of the foregoing.

We love our members and feel honored to get to serve some of the best people that make our community better.
